Hi:

My name is Jorge Alberto and I have the pleasure to be your host in your trip around our web site.

Our purpose is to satisfy your expectations and find for you the lodging that best suit your needs, so you could enjoy freely your stay in Cuba and relax.

You could find information and access to our services simply going to "Services" in the upper menu or just clicking here Services.

If you have any complaint or suggestion you could get in touch with us through this web site.

Immediately we are going to give you some information that we are sure will be interesting for you:

If you have never been in Cuba, we are sure that you must be wondering:

¿What is a casa particular?

Casa particular is the Cuban way to refer to bed & breakfast or private home stays. It is the way to call a house or an apartment where is offered lodging to tourists or foreigners during their vacations in Cuba.

Although you could think that a casa particular is a bed & breakfast, breakfast is not included in the room price. Usually you could have breakfast or lunch in a casa particular for a very good price, you just have to ask for that service to the landlord or landlady and we assure you that you will enjoy very much the taste of the typical Cuban cuisine.

¿Why choosing to stay in a casa particular rather than a hotel?

Accommodation in a casa particular could be one of the more interesting experiences that you may enjoy while you travel to Cuba, specially if you want to get to know from the first hand how Cubans live and think and how is the "Real Cuba", that one so much different from the luxurious five star hotels.

Cuba is an unusual country in many facts and the only way to get to know the true feeling of Cuba and its people, and obtain a deep knowledge of the Cuban society; is to maintain a regular interaction with Cubans, your hosts for example, and this you will achieve choosing to stay in this kind of private accommodation, casas particulares. We guarantee, that you will learn a lot about Cuba.

Staying in  a casa particular you will get many other benefits like:

  • Get in touch with the truly Cuban people: If you stay in a big resort in a beach, you will never get an opportunity to talk and to make friends with the real people. You will only meet workers of the hotel and other tourists like you. You will miss the main attraction of Cuba, its people. By staying in a hostel or apartment living with Cubans you will get a feeling of the "Real Cuba".

  •  Lower prices:  It is much cheaper to lodge in a private room or bed and breakfast than stay in a hotel. This does not mean you will be less comfortable, on the contrary, you will have the same conditions as a hotel, air conditioning, hot and cold water, a comfortable bed, and the price will be 3 or 4 times less than a hotel. Doing so you will save some money and extend your travel to Cuba.

  • Improve your Spanish: Through regular interaction with the house owners you could learn or improve your Spanish.

  • Directly help the Cubans: Staying in a casa particular you will be directly contributing to a person or family's stand of living.

  • Privacy: If you stay in a private accommodation (casa particular) you could invite to your room any friend you may want to. Something that you won't be able to do if you stay in a hotel, because you can't have Cuban guests in official hotel rooms.

¿Is it legal to stay in a casa particular?

Renting a casa particular to tourists and foreigners is allowed by the Cuban law, and you could state that you will be staying in a casa particular when arriving to Cuba, or applying for a Cuban visa.  But you should stay in a casa particular that has the official license or permission from the government to offer the lodging service.

sello.jpg (50274 bytes)To know if a casa particular has the official license or permission from the government is very easy. The licensed owner has to show in his door or in any other visible place an official seal which is a blue triangle in a white background and has the following words written "Arrendatario Inscripto". You can see that seal in the picture to your right.

The owner of the casa particular where you are going to stay will ask you for your passport as soon as you arrive to report your stay to the immigration authorities and will ask you also to sign the registration book.
